Dr. Nikolaus Poechhacker

Dr. Nikolaus Poechhacker is a sociologist with a PhD from the Technical University of Munich (TUM). In his work he researches the relationship between democratic institutions, law, social order, and algorithmic systems in various domains, bringing together perspectives from media theory, STS, computer science, and sociology. He is a postdoctoral researcher in the Complex Social & Computational Systems group at the IDea_Lab at the University of Graz as well as a research fellow at the Department of Innovation and Digitalisation in Law of the University of Vienna.
