Daniela is a technology and media historian. She is currently a research associate at the Ethical Innovation Hub and a lecturer at the Institute for the History of Medicine and Science Studies IMGWF, both at the University of Lübeck in Germany. She has worked in Zurich, Lüneburg, Munich, Lübeck and Lausanne.
She has worked on the history of analogue and digital media such as paper and computer networks. Her current research focuses on the history of radio studios in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. Daniela also publishes in the field of digital sovereignty. In spring semester 2025 she co-teaches a seminar at ETH Zurich in cooperation with Wikimedia CH.
