Get involved
for a value-based open web search

We invite interested people from research and practice at universities, schools and companies all over Europe – and beyond – to contribute to a more ethical internet search, in the OSF working group #EthicsInSearch, in one of the other groups or in the #OpenWebSearch community.

#EthicsInSearch group

The group meets online once a month, usually on the last Wednesday of the month. In addition, there are joint workshops at various locations and meetings at conferences, such as the annual Open Search Symposium #ossym in autumn.

People from practice and research can participate. Research areas include digital ethics, ethics of KI, philosophy/sociology of technology, (ethical) aspects of digital transformation, technology impact assessment, technology sustainability. People working in the field of digital responsibility are also very welcome.

The Open Search Foundation has other working groups dealing with technological, economic and legal aspects of (open) web search as well as media education and knowledge transfer, and invites you to join them.
